Norwich – Police raided an alleged drug factory Friday morning, arresting two men and seizing drugs and cash in the process.
After the 8:39 a.m. search of 22 York Ave., police charged Duchene A. Martin, 46, of the same address with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to sell, operating a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said another man, Charles C. Roderick, ran from the home during the raid. Roderick, 19, also of 22 York Ave., was wanted by police for violation of probation. After a short foot chase, police also charged him with interfering with an officer.
Police seized 8 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine packaged for street sales, a scale, cutting agents used for processing drugs, packaging materials and more than $500 in cash.
Martin is held on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Monday in Norwich Superior Court. Roderick is held on $75,000 bond. Police did not specify a court date.
