What is Connecticut food, anyway?

Eric D. Lehman and Amy Nawrocki will discuss their new book, "A History of Connecticut Food: A Proud Tradition of Puddings, Clambakes & Steamed Cheeseburgers," on Saturday, July 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Griswold Inn - Goods & Curiosities at 47 Main St., Essex.

"A History of Connecticut Food" explores the crops, livestock and seafood that have shaped Connecticut's history and culture, complete with recipes for familiar dishes like chicken pot pie and fried oysters and more unique items like Grape-Nuts pudding and steamed cheeseburgers.
