Youth baseball

District 10 LL (9-10)

• Montville defeated Waterford North 4-3, scoring all four runs in the fifth inning. Robie Delacruz, Tyler Velasquez and Colby Miner had two hits apiece for Montville and T.J. McBride had two hits for Waterford South.

• Waterford South defeated Lyme-Old Lyme 14-1 as Avery Albanese pitched a three-hitter, Sonny Pezzello had four hits and scored four runs and Payton Sutman, Luke Sokolski, Cadin Maynard and Liam Kane had two hits each.

• Colchester defeated East Lyme 8-7 on Monday night, scoring three runs in the sixth inning. Winning pitcher Chris Palamar had two hits and Caleb Flythe doubled for Colchester while Ethan Toback and two hits and Luke Leonard tripled for East Lyme.

Softball

District 10 LL (11-12)

• Mystic advanced to the championship round with a 6-4 win over Waterford South and will play unbeaten North Stonington/Pawcatuck in the final on Thursday night at Pawcatuck.

• Natalie Labasi scored three runs, Cassie Woods scored two, Jayden Delaporta doubled home two runs and Susanna Mewha pitched a complete game for Mystic, while Brittany Sylvia had two hits for Waterford South.

District 10 LL (9-10)

• Salem/Bozrah defeated Mystic 5-2 as Isabelle Sawicki pitched no-hit ball for five-plus innings, Kamryn Gurnee had a two-run double and Nikki Marsh scored two runs.

• Waterford South defeated Waterford North 12-10 as Madison Nott had a double.

District 11 LL (9-10)

• Bailey Comeau tossed a one-hitter and struck out 17, leading Preston-Norwich past Brooklyn-Plainfield-Moosup, 6-3. Hailee Scharder had a hit and scored a run for Preston-Norwich.
