Adam Milne of Stonington, chairman of the board for Horizons Inc., has offered a $650,000 challenge grant for the creation of a center for the disabled in Windham.
The Milne Family Challenge Grant, funded by the family that includes former local Pfizer Inc. site leader George Milne, will match every dollar raised, up to $650,000, for the Horizons Commons Project, which will feature dining space, an expanded kitchen, nursing staff, classrooms and community areas.
The group will break ground on Commons at Horizons once its fundraising goals are met. To help, visit HorizonsCT.org/Commons.html or contact Chris McNaboe at CMcNaboe@HorizonsCT.org or 860-456-1032.
