In the 1980s, a series of mysterious tiles began appearing on Philadelphia roads with a cryptic message: "TOYNBEE IDEA / IN MOViE '2001 / RESURRECT DEAD / ON PLANET JUPITER." Recently, a group of admirers set out with little more than a 1983 column from The Philadelphia Inquirer to unravel the story behind the tile-maker, who has never revealed himself publicly. The result is the unexpectedly riveting must-see 2011 documentary, "Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles," available on DVD and Netflix streaming.
