It’s Girls’ Night Out in Clinton

The Friends of the Henry Carter Hull Library will host "A Girls' Night Out with Dr. Gina Barreca," a fundraiser on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Clinton Country Club, 128 Old Post Road, Clinton. Tickets are available at the Henry Carter Hull Library, 10 Killingworth Turnpike, Clinton, for $30. No tickets will be sold at the door. Admission includes two glasses of wine and desserts.

Barreca is an American academic and humorist. She is professor of English literature and feminist theory at the University of Connecticut; a columnist for The Hartford Courant; and a blogger for The Chronicle of Higher Education's "Brainstorm" section and for Psychology Today. She is the author of eight books and editor of 16 others.
