Tiokasin Ghosthorse (above) of the Cheyenne River Lakota (Sioux) Nation of South Dakota appears at the Centerbook Meeting House, 51 Main St., Centerbrook, on Friday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. The event is a benefit for the 2013 mission trip to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe reservation.
Ghosthorse is a master musician and one of the exponents of the ancient red cedar Lakota flute. He plays traditional and contemporary music, using both indigenous and European instruments.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students aged seven and older.
