Sailors graduate from sub school

Groton — Two classes graduated from the Naval Submarine School Nov. 2.

Nine sailors of “Class 12110” graduated from Machinist Mate (Weapons) ‘A’ School. Fireman Apprentice James C. Brown, the class honorman, received the Torpedoman Plaque.

Eighty sailors, of “Class 12480,” USS Ray (SS-271), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School. Fireman Stephan Boran was the class honorman. Seaman Apprentice Braden Wodicka received the Navy Core Values Award. Seaman Jeremy Brooks, the class leader, received the Heritage Award and Seaman Apprentice James Stinnett was meritoriously advanced.

Seaman Cory Sniffen, Fireman Thomas Beder, Seaman Jeffrey Hallam, Seman Joseph Dominguez, Seaman Zachary Hager, Seaman Recruit Ricky Hyde, Seaman Grey Latta, Seaman Matthew Cotton, Seaman Recruit Anthony Brodie, Sonar Technician Surface Second Class John Pennington, Seaman Pablo Flores, Aviation Electronics Technician Third Class Jeffrey White, Culinary Specialist Third Class Chancellor Corns, Boran and Stinnett were graduates with distinction.
