Mystic - Work Vessels for Veterans donated a Ford Escape van to Roger Dasilva, owner of Trident Cleaning Group of Torrington, on Nov. 9 at Valenti Ford in Mystic.

The Noank-based charitable organization provides deserving veterans with the tools they need to return to civilian life. Dasilva founded his company after serving for 10 years in naval special warfare and employs fellow veterans.

The Ford Escape will allow the company to expand its services and hire additional veteran workers, according to Work Vessels for Veterans. Dasilva is one of more than 600 veterans who have been helped by the charity.
