Groups partner to help minority businesses

Published November 20. 2012 4:00AM

The Connecticut Small Business Development Center and the Spanish American Merchants Association have partnered to deliver small business services to the minority small business communities of New London, as well as Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven and Waterbury. The Entrepreneurial Technical Assistance Program, federally funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration through the Small Business Jobs Act, provides no-cost individualized, in-depth business advising and workshops to entrepreneurs and small business owners with the primary objective of stimulating job creation and supporting job retention. The ETAP will develop and enhance the entrepreneurial and management skills of individuals seeking to start or grow a small business.
