Connecticut Water Service Inc. has announced a third-quarter dividend of slightly more than 24 cents a common share payable Dec. 17 for shareholders of record Dec. 3.
The dividend, unchanged from the previous quarter, works out to 97 cents a year and represents a 3.4 percent yield on the water company's stock price late last week.
Connecticut Water, which serves local communities including Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Stonington, has paid dividends on common stock every year since the company's founding in 1956 and has increased payments the last 43 years.
A $31.3 million capital spending plan for 2013 also was approved.
