It was a cold night for Trees in the Rigging in Essex, but another great turn out for the community parade and carol sing. The Nov. 25 event kicked off with antique cars, Boy Scouts, and the Sailing Masters of 1812 on parade and ended up down at the river and the grounds of the Connecticut River Museum, where onlookers pressed in for the best view of the town's festively decorated boats on parade.
