Toronto — Waterford’s Pete Walker was named pitching coach of the Toronto Blue Jays Monday. Walker, the former East Lyme High School, UConn-Avery Point and UConn star, served as the bullpen coach for the Blue Jays last season.
Walker pitched for the New York Mets, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies and Blue Jays in the major leagues between 1995-2006.
