Hobby shop marks anniversary

C&S Sports and Hobby in Plainfield, owned by Jewett City native Steve Winnick, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The 4,000-square-foot store, at 624 Norwich Road, carries a full line of sports and hobby items, including remote-control vehicles, model kits, trains, slot cars, sports autographs, collectibles, novelties and major-league apparel. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11-6 Friday, 10-5 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday.
