Can you remember the first time you were up close to a musician playing a violin? It can be a magical moment in a child's life. The Musical Masterworks chamber music series will share that magic at its first Young People's Concert at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme.

The concert is geared to students ages 8 to 18, but children of all ages are invited. The performers will be the same big-time stars appearing the evening concert for the grown-ups: Violinist Arnaud Sussman, violist David Harding and pianist Philip Bush, with Masterworks' Artistic Director Edward Arron on cello and acting as host.

No tickets are required, but a suggested donation of $5 per family will be accepted at the door. For information, call (860) 434-2252 or visit www.musicalmasterworks.org.

Adults will be admitted only under a child's supervision.
