Montville parade, tree lighting Sunday

Montville – The town will hold its annual holiday parade and tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, beginning at 5 p.m.

The parade will start on Route 32 at the Montville/Waterford town line, head north to town hall and finish with the tree lighting there at 7 p.m. Traffic along the parade route will be diverted, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Northbound motorists will be directed off Route 32 onto Red Cedar Avenue in Waterford to Jerome Road on to Maple Avenue and back out on Route 32. Southbound traffic will follow the reverse route.

Spectators can park on side streets along the parade route by Lathrop Road to the east and Jerome Road to the west.
