Bank extends deadline for youth awards

Published December 01. 2012 4:00AM

Liberty Bank has extended the deadline for nominations for its new "Youth In Action Award" program to Dec. 14.

The awards are designed to recognize young people in towns served by Liberty Bank who have distinguished themselves through volunteer service, philanthropy or advocacy for community organizations.

Two Youth In Action Awards will be presented: one for a student in grades 6-8, and another for a student in grades 9-12. Nomination forms with program guidelines are available in all 44 Liberty Bank offices and on the bank's website at www.liberty-bank.com/your-community/liberty-foundation/news-and-events.

Nominations for the awards will be reviewed by six regional committees of Liberty Bank employees.

Yes, it's highly suggestive and inappropriate at a school function.
No, teens will be teens. A ban would just encourage them more.
