Kurt and Mary Ellen Colella of Gales Ferry are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn, to Adam J. Sederholt, son of Maria Giambattista of Yonkers, N.Y. and David Sederholt of New York City.

Kathryn graduated from the University of Connecticut and is pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is employed as an engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat.

Adam earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hartford. He is employed as an operations supervisor at General Dynamics Electric Boat.

A June 2013 wedding is planned.
