Long Wharf Theatre presents its 6th annual Discovery Day, a family open house event on Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The theme of this year's event is "Quest for Long Wharf Castle: A Day of Myth, Magic, and Monsters." Admission to the event is pay what you can, and all donations will help to fund a family friendly spring production adapted, produced, designed and built by the Next Stage residents, early career professionals training in specific fields of theatre.

This year, kids age 3 and up will have the opportunity to go on a quest led by a group of noble knights. En route kids can create stained glass windows, horses and unicorn puppets, Robin Hood and princess hats, and learn battle cries, leading up to an interactive theatrical adventure.
