Three woman were killed and one man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 south in the vicinity of Exit 70.
Tamara Nolin, 71, of Branford; Marjorie Minore, 90, of North Haven; and Barbara Prato, 63, of East Haven, were killed the crash. They were in a 2007 Nissan Maxima owned and driven by Nolin.
Frank Sundstrom, 51, of Warwick, Rhode Island, was driving an Oldsmoblie Alero the wrong-way on the highway when the crash occurred. He was seriously injured and taken by Life Star helicopter to St. Raphael’s Hospital.
The accident occurred near 3/10 of a mile south of Exit 70. The cause of the accident in under investigation.
