Norwich — A Norwich man who was rescued Friday by city police from a burning home remained in critical condition Wednesday evening at the burn unit at Bridgeport Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.
The fire at the three-unit home at 206 Dudley St. was reported at 4:06 a.m. Friday. Police officers were among the first to arrive, acting on cries for help from the family of Chris Wydra, who was still trapped inside.
Chris Wydra was taken first to The William W. Backus Hospital before being transferred to Bridgeport for burn treatment.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
