Nine local high school boys' soccer players and eight girls were named recently to their respective all-state teams. The boys were named by the Connecticut Soccer Coaches' Association, while the girls were honored by the Connecticut Girls' Soccer Coaches' Association.
Named to the boys' team were: Class LL, Patrick Kudej (NFA); Class L, Elliot Diana (Waterford), Aaron Schwartz (Waterford); Class M, Anthony Saccone (Ledyard), Connor Leeman (Montville), Jeff Tryon (Montville); Class S, George Logan (Old Lyme), John Mulhern (Wheeler); Prep Small, Matheus Sousa (St. Thomas More).
Named to the girls' team were: Class LL, Megan Gada (NFA); Class L, Madison Horner, East Lyme; Class M, Danielle Jacobs (Stonington), Hannah Scahill (Waterford); Class S, Shannon Amarello (St. Bernard), Ali Regan (St. Bernard), Hannah Behringer (Old Lyme), Aggie Forstein (Old Lyme).
