St. Mary's Church held a local prayer service on Dec. 17 in response to the Newtown tragedy. Branford youngster Giovanni Calavolpe, a grade school student at St. Mary's School, made a poster over the weekend, depicting 20 little angels in memory of the children who lost their lives at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. Holding hands and sharing hearts, the poster reads "Our Hearts are United with God."
