Dime Bank collects for Sandy Hook victims

Norwich-based Dime Bank will be raising money for the Sandy Hook School Support Fund today.

Many Dime Bank employees will be making a $5 donation, and all 11 Dime branch locations will be accepting donations.

United Way of Western Connecticut, in partnership with Newtown Savings Bank, created the Sandy Hook School Support Fund earlier this week. All funds collected will be sent directly to Newtown Savings Bank to help underwrite support services and help with the immediate needs and funeral expenses of victims' families.
