Bicyclist injured in Waterford crash

Waterford Police document the scene Friday of an accident around 3:15 p.m. Friday involving a pickup truck and a bicyclist on Willetts Avenue, near Work Out World. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital. The Dunbar armored truck was not involved in the accident, but employees remained on the scene as witnesses to the collision.

Waterford - A bicyclist was hospitalized this afternoon following a collision with a vehicle on Willetts Avenue.

The Jordan Fire Department responded with police at 3:22 p.m. The unidentified male bicyclist was transported by Waterford Ambulance to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London for treatment of injuries. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Willetts Avenue was temporarily closed during a police investigation into the accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Police at (860) 442-9451.
