Stonington's snow ordinance requires vehicles to be removed from the roadways when there is over 2 inches of snow for the purposes of plowing, the police department said in a press release.

If 2 inches or more of snow comes overnight, vehicles must be moved by 8 a.m. Vehicles not removed will be ticketed and or towed. In Stonington Borough, when there is over 2 inches of snow, Water Street must be clear of vehicles and vehicles on Main Street and Elm Street must be parked only on the even sides of the street on Sunday.
