Foster is selected to all-tournament team

Berlin - Lexis Foster of Fitch scored 16 points in the consolation game of the Berlin Holiday Tournament, but the Falcons lost to Cheshire 42-25 in girls' basketball action Monday.

Foster, a junior center, also had 12 rebounds, blocked seven shots and was selected to the all-tournament team. Fitch is 3-6.

College women's basketball

• Unbeaten Tufts jumped out to a 37-16 halftime lead and went on to beat Connecticut College 69-37 in a nonleague game. Kayleen Murray scored 11 points and Caitlin Cimino had five rebounds for Conn (5-6). Hannah Foley scored 18 points and Bre Dufault had 10 rebounds for Tufts (10-0).
