East Lyme - High school students in Technology Education teacher Lew Tucker's Engineering and pre-Engineering classes built and raced the boats as part of their coursework Monday.
Tucker's students are required to construct a boat using only cardboard and duct tape and complete one lap of the pool. Other students as well as faculty, staff and guests are invited to participate.
