Stonington - New England Science & Sailing Foundation will hold an open house for teachers and families at its Water Street campus in the borough on Jan. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m.

There will be opportunities to meet the NESS staff, tour the harborfront facilities, and learn how NESS' programs can enrich classroom and after-school activities.

NESS offers programs in marine science, adventure sports, and sailing. NESS recently added compound microscopes, camera microscopes, interactive whiteboard and iPads in its marine science laboratory.

Copies of the NESS 2012-13 Educators Catalog with programs designed to both supplement and complement pre-kindergarten through high school curricula will be available.

For more information, call NESS at (860) 535-9362.
