Waterford — A “distraught” high school student was arrested Friday after he was found in possession of a knife at Waterford High School, police said.
Craig Thibeau, 18, of 6 Laurel Crest Drive, was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds, threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Police said that they and school staff were informed Friday that Thibeau made an online posting the previous day “threatening harm with a knife” at the high school. Thibeau came to school and was found in possession of the knife.
He was arraigned Friday and is out on an $85,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 31.
