Groton man arrested for possession of child porn, drugs

Groton – Town police arrested a local man Wednesday and charged him with possession of child pornography and several drug charges.

As part of an ongoing investigation by the Groton Town Police Department's Special Services Unit, Mark Veroneau, 52, of 40 Spyglass Circle, was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics not kept in their original container.

Veroneau is held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Thursday in New London Superior Court.
