Tricia Walsh of Mystic has been chosen to replace Tricia Cunningham as president of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, the organization announced today.
Walsh, the director of membership and communications at the chamber, will step into her new role at the end of this month.
Walsh has been with the chamber for six years, arriving as manager of membership and operations. She has a bachelor's degree in business management from Eastern Connecticut State University.
"Tricia has worked very hard for the chamber in her position as director of membership and will bring that perspective into her new role," Jim Bates, president of the Mystic organization's board, said in a statement. "In addition, she brings a level of enthusiasm and creativity that will only benefit our members."
Walsh will fill the shoes of chamber president Tricia Cunningham, who announced last month that she is taking a position as director of development at Fairview Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut in Groton starting in March.
“Tricia Cunningham has been a great mentor and leader," Walsh said in a statement. "I am grateful for the experience of working with her and happy to continue in her place.”
