Regarding the Jan. 27 article, "2013 The Year of the Celeb at Mohegan Sun," what Tom Cantone, the casino's vice-president for sports and entertainment, fails to disclose is the astronomical ticket fees for these shows.
The ticket price for the upcoming Jason Aldean concert is $112, while the same show in Knoxville, Tenn. is $55 or $29. Bon Jovi tickets are $200 each.
Those who wish to attend these shows are the same people that purchase CDs, T-shirts and memorabilia that have made the artists who they are.
Unfortunately, because of the outrageous ticket prices, they can't afford to go to see their favorite performers. I wonder if the artists knows how much each venue charges their fans to attend their shows.
The White House photo of Obama shooting skeet is trending. What's the big deal?
