Embarrassing to cite this climate 'authority'

You would think that people citing authorities to justify their own opinions would check into the qualifications of those authorities. It appears that your letter writer addressing climate change on Feb. 1 did not - "Climate change an unproven science." The "authority," Dr. S. Fred Singer, is a well known physicist, but one who has over the past two decades been operating on the questionable, almost lunatic fringes of scientific theory, with questionable motives and support that should have raised serious considerations in anyone's mind about the veracity of the information they are citing from that source. It's amazing that people will so readily adopt opinions that justify their own merely on the limited and questionable statements of one individual, in opposition to so many, many other equally qualified experts.
It's embarrassing.

How much snow will southeast Connecticut get over the next two days?
I don't believe the hype. I'd say six inches.
The pundits are adding inches everyday. I believe we'll get more than 10 inches.
I'm a National Weather Service junkie and they are saying more than 18.
I'm ready, loving it and prepared for two feet.
