One question frequently heard about New London's Hempsteadys has to do with when the hell they're going to release a new album? A tangential query - given the stunningly fun intensity of their live shows - is whether it's even possible to recreate the energy of their club performances in the studio?
Hempsteadily enough, these are good things to ponder. For one thing, of late, the band HAS been in the studio recording material. For another, they're headlining a killer bill Saturday in New London's Bank Street Cafe. Perhaps they'll offer clues.
Also onboard are The Agents, Pickpocket, and DJ Sir Roundsound. You could nail your feet to the Bank Street Cafe floor that night and it still wouldn't keep you from dancing.
