Valentine's Day with Trey Songz

Honor just to be nominated, etc., etc.: Trey Songz was just nominated for a Grammy for R&B song for "Heart Attack," from his 2012 album "Chapter V." (He lost to "Miguel Pimentel for "Adorn.")

A little romance: Songz is spending his Valentine's Day at Foxwoods. He's giving a concert at MGM Grand at Foxwoods - and he's having that concert stream live on xumanii.com, for those fans who can't make it to the gig.

Now call him Trey Filmz? Songz has moved into acting. He had a role in the, um, probably not-so-challenging-for-performers gore-fest "Texas Chainsaw 3D." Next up is something very different from that horror flick - the romantic comedy "Baggage Claim." The movie, about a flight attendant with 30 days to find a hubby, stars Paula Patton, Derek Luke and Taye Diggs.

Trey Songz, 7:30 tonight, MGM Grand at Foxwoods; with Elle Varner; $65, $85; 1-800-200-2882.

What did you think of President Obama's State of the Union speech Tuesday night?
I thought he gave a moving speech that was a call to action on gun control, climate change and the economy.
I thought it was heavy on platitudes and light on details, like most State of the Union addresses.
I didn't hear a word he said; Speaker John Boehner's death mask of a face had me transfixed.
What was up with VP Joe Biden's rose-colored glasses?
No idea; I was watching the exciting Bruins-Rangers game.
