Technically speaking, the f actually DOESN'T stop here. The reference is to a new juried photography exhibit, "The f-Stops Here: In Color and Black & White," which opens tonight at the Hygienic Art Galleries in New London.

This is the third iteration of "The f-Stops Here" series, in which artists are invited to submit up to three color or black and white pieces for consideration - and all selected works must be for sale.

Visual artist David Madasci, co-founder/associate curator of the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery of Art, is guest juror.

Ted Hendrickson, photographer and associate professor of art at Connecticut College, curated. Opening reception is tonight from 7 to 10 p.m.

Runs through March 16 at 79-83 Bank St., New London. For more information, call (860) 443-8001 or visit hygienic.org.
