Coast Guard Band previews tour

Before it heads out on its tour of the southeastern U.S., the Coast Guard Band is giving fans here a listen to what's on deck.

Here are just a few of the compositions that'll be performed on tour and in Sunday's matinee at the Coast Guard Academy: Kenneth Hesketh's "Masque"; William Bolcom's "Concert Suite for Alto Saxophone and Band" featuring Chief Musician Joshua Thomas; "Concert Fantasia on Motives from Verdi's Rigoletto" with clarinetist, Chief Musician Kelly Hurrell; and Morton Gould's "Santa Fe Saga."
