Waterford - A 22-year-old man who crashed his motorcycle on the former Waterford Airport property between Interstate 95 and Fog Plain Road Wednesday evening was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for injuries police said were not life-threatening.

Waterford police used ATVs for the rough terrain rescue, reported at around 6:30 p.m. Assisting were firefighters from the Oswegatchie, Jordan and Cohanzie fire departments.

Sgt. Roger Reed said the man, whose name he did not release, was the sole rider involved in the crash, which as of 9:30 p.m. Wednesday was still under investigation.
