The submission process is underway for the 2013 Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students, grades 9 through 12, and the winner will be selected at the District Art Show and Competition on Friday, May 3. The winner of that competition will have his or her work featured in the United States Capitol along with art from all 435 congressional districts.

Students and teachers in southeastern Connecticut must contact Congressman Joe Courtney's office before participating. Students must submit their artwork along with a completed 2013 Student Information and Release form. Questions and forms should be sent to Cutter Oliver at (860) 886-0139.

Students must drop off their original work at Congressman Joe Courtney's Norwich District Office, at 55 Main St., Suite 250, Norwich, no later than 4 p.m. on April 26.
