Charter Oak holds Shred Day

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union will be offering free shredding services from 9 a.m. to noon April 13 at its branch locations at 625 Long Hill Road in Groton and 1 Connecticut Ave. in Norwich.

Charter Oak hosts an annual Shred Day event with a three-box limit to help protect the public from identity theft. Sh redding old bank statements, expired credit cards and credit card offers are among the many ways in which individuals can prevent identity theft.
