Groton — Hull Maintenance First Class William Clark was honored as the Naval Submarine School's Sailor of the Quarter, Fourth Quarter 2012, on Tuesday, April 2, in ceremonies sponsored by the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 20.
Clark is a lead instructor in the Engineering and High Risk Training Department.
Capt. David A. Roberts, the school's commanding officer, said Clark directly supervised training and the day-to-day operations, ensuring that student and staff needs were met and maintained with student throughput at its highest level.
Clark received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Gold Star in lieu of Second Award.
Legalman First Class Tiffany Johnson, Sonar Technician First Class Jeffrey Wrobel, Fire Control Technician First Class Bradley Beda and Electronics Technician First Class Wayne Ryan were also honored as Department Sailors of the Quarter.
Sonar Technician Second Class Gregory Avila was the Junior Sailor of the Quarter. Fire Control Technician Third Class Nathaniel Lowen, Navy Diver Third Class Scott Caruana, Sonar Technician Second Class David Puccio and Sonar Technician Second Class Joseph Camberlin were nominated.
Sonar Technician First Class Billie Trowbridge and Lt. Christopher Hornung were honored as Instructors of the Fourth Quarter. Fire Control Technician First Class Sean Goodner was recognized as the 2012 Sailor of the Year and Hospital Corpsman First Class Christopher Johnson was honored as the 2012 Instructor of the Year.
Navy Diver Second Class Jason Fenn was recognized as the Naval Education and Training Command Junior Enlisted Instructor of the Year.
