Ball raises $300,000 for Easter Seals

Published April 30. 2013 4:00AM

More than 300 guests at Easter Seals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut's 26th Annual Crystal Ball helped raise over $300,000 for the organization.

Funds will directly benefit Easter Seals services, notably its comprehensive autism initiative designed to assess, diagnose and treat children and adults who show symptoms of autistic disorder, Asperger's syndrome or pervasive developmental disorders.

The Crystal Ball was held at the Hartford Marriott Downtown on April 12 and was hosted by NBC Connecticut News co-anchor Lisa Carberg. It featured a live and silent auction.

Hoffman Audi of East Hartford, Hoffman Audi of New London and NBC Connecticut served as presenting sponsors.
