State police recently arrested two Norwich men for their alleged role in a robbery and an assault during a drug deal that occurred a year ago in Lisbon.

Michael Wanico, 18, of 276 Washington St., was arrested Tuesday and Wilfredo Matos, 20, of 317 Canterbury Turnpike, was arrested last Thursday and were each charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, first-degree robbery, threatening and third-degree assault.

Wanico was also charged with criminal use of a firearm.

Police said the charges stem from a botched drug deal that occurred on May 30, 2012.
