Maggie's Guitar in concert at the Donald Oat Theater

Published June 06. 2013 4:00AM

Acoustic band Maggie's Guitar will pluck nimbly Friday in the Donald Oat Theater of the Norwich Arts Center as part of the venue's First Fridays music series.

As per their recent "Who Do We Think We Are?" album, Maggie's Guitar writes fine material ranging from soft pop to old school folk. But they also do an intriguing tribute to the late Jim Croce - and expect a sampling of originals mixed with "Time in a Bottle" and other tugs-on-Superman's-cape fare.

Maggie's Guitar, 8 p.m. Friday, Donald Oat Theater, Norwich Arts Council, 62 Broadway, Norwich; $20, $17 NAC members; (860) 887-2789, norwicharts.org.
