Inside and out: The New London Community Orchestra is offering not one, but two shows this weekend. The first is Saturday in the Coast Guard Academy's Leamy Hall. The second is outside on New London's City Pier (bring a chair). Both, by the way, are free.

It's music to your ears: The orchestra will perform Mozart's Symphony # 25 in G minor, Aaron Copland's "Hoe Down," John Williams's "Trilogy," Girolamo Frescobaldi's Toccata, G major; Peter Warlock's "Capriol Suite," and Leroy Anderson: "Plink, Plank, Plunk."

Who they are: The musicians that make up the all-volunteer New London Community Orchestra are from all around the area. Thanks to grants, the orchestra also provides free violin lessons for children.

The New London Community Orchestra, 2 p.m. Saturday, Leamy Hall, Coast Guard Academy, Mohegan Avenue, New London; 2 p.m. Sunday, City Pier, downtown New London; free; (860) 608-1780, (860) 691-0849, newlondoncommunityorchestra.org.
