Waterford baseball game postponed until Sunday

Today's Class L state baseball championship game between second-seeded Waterford and No. 4 New Canaan has been postponed until Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at Palmer Field in Middletown.

The Class M final (St. Joseph vs. NW Regional, 3:30 p.m.) and Class LL final (Amity vs. Southington, 7 p.m.) will go on as scheduled at Palmer Field.

Sunday will be a big day for Waterford, because its softball team will also play for a state championship. The Lancers will play Granby for the Class M title at 4:30 p.m. at West Haven High School.
