The people who brought you the New London Youth Talent Show are showcasing more talent in a new concert - "A Search for Gospel's Best."
It all begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the Garde Arts Center.
In addition to featuring 20 gospel singers competing, the show will star Joshua Rogers, who won BET's Sunday Best Competition this year.
Will they raise the roof? You can bet on it.
And the "Gospel's Best" winner will get $500 and the chance to perform at various events in the region.
Curtis K. Goodwin, owner of CKG Productions, and hip-hop recording artist Franc Colmenares will produce "Gospel's Best." They collaborated, too, on the New London Youth Talent Show, which raised money for scholarships and grants.
Goodwin says, "Producing these shows give thousands of inner-city youth hope and opportunity. 'Gospel's Best' was created to inspire churches to play a key role in building healthy relationships with our communities."
