I was recently having a talk with a proponent of no controls on guns, and asked him why he felt that way. His response was that if we have controls on any types of weapons, the government can take us over, and we won't have the ability to defend our rights.
OK. I hear that.
But, really, who is this government I'm to be wary of? Does that mean the U.S. Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy and Army?
So the idea is, my neighbors and myself should be armed at least as well as these military institutions that have been created to enforce the evil doings of an out-of-control government?
Do you consider this to be scary thinking? Is it thinking?
