Calling all princesses and pirates

Community Music School and the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center invite boys and girls to join them for a Princess and Pirate Party at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at The Kate, 300 Main St., Old Saybrook.

Attendees will join pirates in a search for buried treasure, and students of the Fencers School of Connecticut will present a fencing demonstration. There also will be music, arts, crafts and refreshments. Princess dresses and pirate attire encouraged.

Tickets are $15 per person with proceeds benefiting programs and scholarships at Kate's Camp for Kids, a summer arts camp program held at The Kate in July and August.
